Riley Cain, B.A.

Riley is a pre-licensed Counseling Intern currently completing her master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic and Legal Psychology. She is originally from western Michigan, though she is now a proud Virginia resident. Riley has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including within primary and secondary education, corrections, and residential mental health.

Riley is currently receiving training and supervision in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she is excited to help adolescent and adult clients to build practical, concrete skills to navigate daily life and regulate intense emotions more effectively. Her favorite DBT skill is Check the Facts from the Emotion Regulation module, as it encourages curiosity and awareness when emotions may not fully align with the situation.

In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her pets, hosting themed events for friends, taking barre classes, and cooking new recipes.
