Intensive Summer College DBT Skills Group

Intensive Summer DBT Skills

Prepare for a successful return to campus with our Intensive Summer College DBT Skills Group, a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed skills training program designed specifically for college students and young adults.

This six-week virtual program helps participants build practical skills for managing stress, improving relationships, regulating emotions, and navigating the challenges of college life. Whether you're preparing for your first semester, returning to school, or balancing academics, work, and relationships, DBT provides evidence-based tools that can improve emotional resilience and confidence.

Participants will receive comprehensive training in the four core DBT skill modules:

  • Mindfulness – Increase focus, awareness, and presence in daily life.

  • Emotion Regulation – Better understand and manage intense emotions.

  • Distress Tolerance – Develop healthy coping strategies for stressful situations.

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – Strengthen communication, set boundaries, and build healthier relationships.

Summer 2026 Schedule

  • Dates: Tuesday, June 23, 2026 – Thursday, July 30, 2026

  • Format: Virtual

  • Meeting Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00–8:00 PM (ET)

Requirements: To maximize skill development and generalization, participants are required to complete an intake evaluation and meet with an individual therapist every other week throughout the program. Individuals engaging in frequent high-risk behaviors may benefit more from a Comprehensive DBT program rather than the intensive summer skills format. Recommendations will be made during the intake process to ensure each participant receives the level of care best suited to their needs.

The group will be $200 per session
